Yachiyo of America - Columbus, Ohio
This 5 million dollar project consisted of the design of a new research and testing facility for an automotive parts manufacturer. The 50,000 s.f. building is a mix of a pre-engineered steel structure for the testing facility and a traditional steel framed structure for the research/office functions. The exterior is clad with aluminum curtain wall and an aluminum sandwich panel veneer. The interior contains a 2-story office space for research and administration functions. The large lobby contains abundant natural light and an open staircase. The layout of research portion of the building was carefully coordinated with the owner and equipment manufacturers to fit the large testing equipment. The rear of the building has been designed for future expansion.
