Urbana United Methodist Church
This interior church renovation required a mix of old and new. All wood was stained to match the existing church pews, new carpet was installed as well as a performance stage and theatrical lighting. The alter area received a stone veneer and modular wave panels behind the cross which is backlit for added affect. The walls and ceiling were painted a sandy-brown in place of the white and the ceiling details painted white for contrast. The narthex needed to be larger in order to accommodate the church’s growing number of members. The existing narthex wall was removed and a new wall, doors and glass were replaced, adding approximately 180 square feet to the entry. Stone veneer and white trim along withupdated lighting were added to the existing columns to match the alter wall.
